Hey guys, I think I may have asked this before but I cant find the post. I've got to get tyres for my Vortex and I'm wondering how wide of a tyre I can fit on my 13" 5j rims?

Thanks guys, I mentioned the head gasket because I thought it might be the cause. I'll check the gap on the plugs tonight, how do I check if I'm losing vacuum? What gets me is it drives fines, same power and no misses.

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm going to have a go at pulling it down as far as the heads. With only 180,000 on the clock I'm thinking the internals should be fine. I've got a manual and 4 different 10mm spanners.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm only going to take the heads off to start with, hopefully I won't have to go any further.

Thanks mate but I want to keep it original so I'll stick with the EA82. The motors only got 180,000kms on it so it should be all good once it has a full rebuild kit through it.

Just thought I'd update my progress with the window. All done, found a wire that was not connected really well, solder and all good. Bit of fun getting the door back together but it's fixed now.

I'm sitting on 2200 rpms doing 100 km in my 89 Vortex. 4wd turbo with a 4 speed auto, though the auto slips in to overdrive? when cruising so it's almost a 5 speed. I get around town doing 60kmh on 1600rpm.

I wish I could post pics and a walkthrough for doing it! I got the glass out, managed to get my hands in there and undo to two bolts. But sadly I changed the motor and it's still not going.
