I learn't a bit more about it yesterday. It's blown the two parallel heater fuses before and indeed that'd happened again. New fuses held until I went to 4th fan speed and then popped promptly. (lower speeds didn't work anyway) Rooted about a bit with the heater fan wiring, the 2 pin plugs at the fa...

92 L series heater fan failed.
I'm going to go postal I think... I've hunted the internet to find a PDF of the factory manual... Downloaded 300+ pages... Section 6-2, the wiring diagrams for the rest of the car, hasn't been included, ffs. Has anyone got a wiring diagram? Please before I burn the car in a fit of non air conditione...

92 L series heater fan failed.
Kind Sirs, Has anyone got a wiring diagram they can refer me to for an Oct 91 build wagon? It's blown the two heater fuses in the dash (I assume they're in parallel) but replacing them hasn't rectified the situation. I'd like to understand the circuit before I tear much more apart so if anyone has s...

Think I'll use this car, the premise is that it'll save a good deal of maintainenece work that I was looking like having to do... With any car now, if you have to buy a set of tyres, a rego sticker and a tank of fuel... the thing is written off. Sadly people are so well programmed to consume, they d...

Yeah cheers Bennie, I like the ergonomics of the later steering column but it's negligible really. I guessed the later manifold went with a hot wire AFM & things like better belts on the A/C & per steer... but in any case the whistle definitely wakes up the old 1800, so this unit with the earlier ge...

85 versus 92 wagon... what're the pros & cons?
Hey blokes, I'm looking at buying an 85 touring wagon with high roof, to replace the 92 wagon. I've noticed the dash is a bit different of course but are there any issues that're not obvious, aside from age? The pros for the 85 include an RX makeover with Turbo, dash cluster & LSD. Previous owner ha...

Ok blokes. More pictures. Wiper module is there;) Wiper motor is there;) Found (all?) hubcaps in the boot. DS door is straight, rest of the panels are good to fair. It wasn't -full- of coolant but what came out was nice & green with no sign of oil. Diff is not LS but you already knew that... I suspe...

Well it's blowing a gale and sporadically pissing rain here atm... but I might get to the wreckers this arvo or next so I can check on all the bits you blokes are interested in. I'd like the brakes and LSD (if I read the sticker right?) for the wagon. The turbo donk would be cool too but I haven't m...

I've had a look at the higher resolution pictures on the phone, didn't realise they'd be a bit shite for you guys to read sorry. Build date on the firewall is Jan 88 but the Australian compliance plate says XT H/TOP 3/89. I'm pretty sure it's 89 because the stamped 9 character is certainly different...

Are there some reccomendations for wheel alignment settings when fitting adjustable radius rods, I mean aside from just stopping oversized tyres rubbing? I have been getting complaints from the better half that now she has power steering, she can't feel what's going on & is thus more likely to spin ...

G'day blokes, I've found what I think is a rising sun import at my local wrecker and it seems terribly complete. I should have checked if it has coolant in the right places but the photos will have to do for now... I realise there is a 3.7ratio LSD/disc rear that'd go well in a wagon, but what else ...

Radiator reccomendations
G'day blokes, I've tried the cheap eBay ally radiator & found the mounts don't line up. Doesn't do what it says on the tin so I'm sending it back on general principal. Who's got any idea on what I should get? Full copper/brass unit? Locally made alloy one? I'm in Adelaide so adrad might be helpful. ...

Cheers Toonga, Turns out I found a brand on them, they're UK made Cosmic mags and I wish they were 10" for my mini! I have machined a 10x94mm recess to get them onto the hubs nicely but one has sadly been vandalized where the steel seat for the wheel nut has been missing. We still have 4 rims though...

what wheel is that?
Hey blokes, Are the wheels on this car from a Renault 12? They're 14" and appear to offset less than factory L series wheels, making the track a little wider. Owner said to be very careful they stay tight, as there's some minor interference with the hub/locating ring diameter. I'm inclined to look a...
