Re: Advice needed
{ On the SH forester pulling the ABS fuse (i.e. blowing the glow plug (combined with ABS) fuse on a diesel- go figure that wiring intelligence) disables basically all the ABS, TCS, VDC, etc. systems. This is because (in my opinion) they are all dependent on the ABS wheel sensors to detect wheel spee...

Re: Advice needed
No I never even thought to look at the SH  Putting a EJ22 in it would be nice. First mod will be a lift 2" and some good sized tyres. I took it offroad to see how it would go and it was bottoming out so I will only do beach work until I get the lift counting down the days to tax time lol. I ha...

Only thing I do not like is the size it is a very compact SUV compared to the outback. So I instal...

Re: Advice needed
Yeah I am leaning that way myself just wondering how the forester goes offroad. The old L series I had was very capable for what it was.AndrewT wrote:With that budget you can get a decent SG Forester (2003 to 2007) and have enough leftover for a brand-new off-the-shelf lift kit for it.

Hi Everyone, A bit of history to how got to where I am. So I got a 1998 Subaru Outback that has cost me thousand...

1998 Subaru Outback Fans
Hi Guys, I got my outback back today with a used but good engine. I have been getting an intermittent check engine light that comes and goes normally about 2 mins after I start driving and then goes off a few minutes latter. I also have noticed that both fans are not working but the temp gauge has n...

Well an update on how things are travelling, I got a quote for $2200 for a second hand engine and installation with out the instalation the engine would still cost $1850 by itself. And another wreckers is wanting $1100 for just an engine. I have puled out plenty of EA81's and EA82's engines and from...

I did a 2" lift both strut spacers and body spacers. It took me about 3 hours to do the rear and a day and a half to do the front, This was by myself with no one to help me. If you could get a mate to help you it would be done in a day. It is not that hard to do by yourself would save you alot of mo...
