Been running some IPF HID's for a while and they are fantastic - start up a little blue and then warm up to a really white light after 30 seconds or so. These are the IPF built HID's so i dont have any details on the parts used. If you do convert some spotties make sure you dont go too high in colou...

Its main use is for transient fuel and spark stuff really, like on throttle tip-in or acceleration. Its also used for telling the ECU when to go into idle mode.

Yet another example of how easy it is in reality to pass modified cars over WA pits. All depends on who you get on the day, did a V6 conversion to an early commodore and they required a FULL engineering report on the whole car before even looking at it, brakes, chassis, diff, suspension etc etc All...

With back to back dyno testing we did a few years back, it showed a repeatable 5hp loss at the wheels on a standard VS V6 commodore fitted with two hiclones. Had complete intake pipe swap as they are a ***** to remove once jammed in the pipe, also meant less than 5mins between runs and always had 5h...

A friend recently sold his liberty wagon with 800,000kms, it was converted to legacy GT running gear at about 400,000kms using a front cut with 50k on it. Never missed a beat and was well used, was a support vehicle for desert racing and river racing so hit the dirt heaps and always had a big enclos...

Got some springs made up for the gemini the other week, sat a bit low with a V8 in it :) Malaga Springs organised them to be made by a local spring manufacturer, $220 for the pair which i thought wasnt too bad.

Works exactly as gremlins said. If it dont, try pulling it out and re-soldering the joints on the PCB. They get heaps of dry joints particularly around the big resistor. Mine only worked upside down when i bought my L.

Bosch lists only one replacement pump for heaps of commodores including turbo and atmo VLs, dont get stung paying turbo prices for the same pump.

They are good for more HP than you think, have one running a 350hp motor with no pressure probs. Good value pump but they are noisy.

Knock sensors use a band pass filter to tune to the knock frequency. The frequency is mostly dependant on bore size so its hard to just use parts from another engine. Still works but the sensitivity is reduced. The V6 commodore uses a knock sensor but the V8 does not (only HSV). There is a piezo sen...

Only way is to put 1 metre scrap under the car and attach it somewhere at the front where its easy access if you're bogged. That is what I know that big 4WDs who dont have an winch do that, i've seen a couple do that but rarely. my 2c worth. Cheers AP May just end up doing that if it looks like it ...

I have a strap that goes between the two tie down points on the front and can then have a snatch strap connected to it. The problem is i dont trust ...
