having recently 'lost' a car to thieves - see the avatar picture - i can reccomend shannons. But as per the advice so far, just beacuse the insurance company does not ask about mods does not mean you do not have to tell them...if in doubt, read the fine print. These policies are written and re-writt...

with the upgraded wiring do not be tempted to go crazy with increased wattage globes. I did the same in my old L, & put in 90/175 (or there abouts) globes...cannot remember the exact wattage but it was near 500W with driving lights on high beam Light was good, but not that much better, for the hassl...

Autos are great in sand Just ask Steve of Rising Sun considering you are in Adelaide - he mated one (well several) to his 'little red car' (EA82T++) but blew them all befrore going a GT forester AWD box. I would say buy the higher milage, then also the EA82T package in the for sale section and you'l...

Strongly reeccomend the following for a carb EA82 2 inch is plently - buy a new cat (high-flow sports version), x1 cannon mufler + a sports muffler. Some will advise against a cat at all - aside from from upsetting the EPA, you risk a fine, and the shop as well - up to $10,000. I gained better eccon...

Thanks again guys, No doubt the passion and know-how people 'round here!! Ben, the SEAT GTI was a sporty 2 door with either a 2lt or 2lt twin cam in aust at least. The VW Golf VR6 'fits' into the SEAT GTI - which essentially is a narrow golf, but cheaper and with poorer build quality. You are quite ...

How long before an engine blows?
In a previous life, at VW meets the organisers wouyld occasionally set up an old motor, run it flat out, taking bets on when it would let go.
Have an old EA82 - blows smoke, is a real dud...but runs.
How long do you reckon it would run for at WOT?

Thanks guys, Have debated this back and forth, waking up in paniced sweat in middle of the night, boring the life out of non-car ffiends and family...but have come to a decision. Do both. Have bought the RS Wagon - perfect for highway cruising and family trips away - have young kids at the moment wh...

After months of searching the trader, carpoint, ebay, leaving notes on cars like a crazed stalker, looking at stock cars to start a build again, modified cars, junk, rip-offs and stary-eyed-dreamers, am faced with now 3.2 front runners in my quest for replacement. Willie's wagon as seen in the for s...

had same problem with my first L-series post tacho dash conversion. Everyone (mates, none of them auto-electrians) said after 10 seconds of careful consideration, 'bad earth' like they knew what they were talking about... Put up with it for a while, hoping it would go away. It didn't In the end, ran...

I bought a Bosch pump from ebay - to suit VL turbo / nissan etc. Think it was 070 from memory Fixed all my woes - the factory one must have been near end of life. Brumby VS duke on Youtube
Some may have seen this already - a red brumby complete with turbo poking thru the bonnest versus a Ducatti 996 in country NSW i'm guessing
Very sweet sound indeed - from both machines.
Type in 'subaru' in the youtube search function and turn up the sound
