Yeah those 140hp aero EA81 and EA82 motors have a peaky torque curve that is quite high which would make it useless for general driving unless you want to keep your revs above 4000 rpm. Might be ok for a rally car. A freshened up EA81 with ported heads, higher compression, premium fuel and a weber s...

The problem is that ebay LEDs are designed for 12v, problem is that the cars voltage while running is closer to 14v, this extra 2v causes the leds to draw too much forward current and overheats them reducing their life. I got around this in the leds I used for my parker lights by soldering 2 diodes ...

Looking at the wiring diagrams I figured it could be done, so a little bit of google searching found that somebody in the UK had done the same thing. Should run better because the old coils were causing a misfire when on boost. If this coil fails a replacement is easy to come by because every EJ22 a...

Advantage is that it replaces the plug-top coils that are misifing on boost with a cheaper alternative to aftermarket Bosch HEC716 coils or later model WRX plug top coils that require an igniter delete. These are the coils I removed https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-kWetkaGpdKQ/U9LcOkNRRnI/AAAAAAAA...

I converted my EJ20G in the RX to wasted spark ignition. I uses the coilpack from just about any EJ22 or EJ25 that uses an external igniter and it works using the existing EJ20G 4 channel igniter. I mounted mine where the air-con compressor once was. Remove the conduit and tape from the start of the...

Id say its the way the sender works, low resistance for low pressure, high resistance for high pressure, no sensor connected is infinite or essentially really high resistance so it reads full scale

Competed at a local Khanacross on Sunday

Finally finished my RX Turbo and entered in an event

Need firmer front springs (standard Liberty in there at the moment)

Didnt get a place overall, but come 3rd out of 39 on this particular lap.

Difference between Lib and WRX springs?

I have some blue KYB struts and what I believe is standard Liberty springs and they are too soft for khanacross (~134lb/in). WRX king replacements KSFS22 are going to be too hard at 245lb so I think Lib replacements KFFS25 at 200lb are my best bet. Now I have read that there is a difference between ...
