Door card repairs
Hi all, couldn't see an interiors forum so I'm putting this here; The door cards in my L series are severely suffering from a combination of hard life, UV exposure and ingrained dirt. http://rs892.pbsrc.com/albums/ac128/t-ridden/Mobile%20Uploads/20140607_130655_zpsc7f859f2.jpg~320x480?t=1402402405 T...

From what i can see there are four bolts that hold a plate that has the studs in it. If you were to take that plate and in turn the studs off, could you not put a new plate on with a different stuff pattern in it? If so, is that what an adapter plate is? Those 4 bolts actually hold the brake disc o...

So does putting an LSD rear diff eliminate the lock up even on dry and hard surfaces ?? Short answer, no, it won't. The AWDs have a center diff that splits the drive front:rear. The Part Time 4WD doesnt have a center diff and this is what causes the binding. if the rear wheels spin at a different t...

Its because we don't have a centre diff. The total rotation or the rear wheels combined must equal that of the front wheels combined. When cornering, especially tight cornering, the rear wheels follow a shorter path, causing an imbalance of rotation front to rear and "winding up" the driveline, as S...

Hey all, sorry to bring up an old thread just wondering if anyone running a supercharger on an ea82 has a comment on the reliability, i know the turbo'd ones have a less than good reputation? I'm considering (in that vague kind of "if i had money" way) getting my carby ea82 rebuilt and putting an sc...

Modified Wheels for L-series
G'day everyone, I know theres one or two of you out there with an L-series sitting on 15" Hilux rims. just wondering how you went about changing the stud pattern? Obviously if you've gone mad and done a 6-stud conversion then my question is invalid, but if you've kept the 4- stud how would one modif...

Have you considered other options here? An emergency stop throws the majority of braking force to the front wheels if it is fitted with a proportioning valve, and the majority of energy would be removed via the front wheels anyway if it didn't have one. Upgrading the rear brakes would likely do ver...

WTB: Rear disc setup
Hi all, Looking to upgrade my 4wd 1993 L-series to rear discs for a little more safety after a few near misses with kangaroos and other mobile chicanes. If anyone has a complete setup [Calipers, Backing plates essential, pad and rotors can be in need of replacing] off a 4wd MY, L, RX, Vortex, Brumby...

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but how did you fit the flexiflares over the mudguards? I'm about to attempt adding flelixflares to my L Series and fitting them with the mudguards looks like it could be a pain. I've just fitted some ORE flexi flares to my L-series, just the same as above, no troub...
