Don't forget the basics, your earth return has to equal your +ve.
Don't forget the chassis/gearbox/body earths.
If you are going to run something high current, like a big amp, run its power cables direct to the battery, with a suitable breaker.

Just have to be careful with the always on circuit.
Why the relay? (race car kill switch :) )
It will always draw power = potential flat bat.
Always on should only be a minor current (ma), a small fuse from before the ACC relay or similar would do.

Like Doug mentioned, separate circuits for the main feeds.
1 breaker/relay for ACC, 1 breaker/relay for IGN.
A distribution block after each relay.
Neat and simple.
That's the way I've been doing it.

Good to see the economy still exists.
That's the key to a good tune.

According to the weber book, yea, you'll get it soon.
A 38 on your motor would work well @6500 rpm.
The 32 peaks @ 5300 rpm, bit more sensible.

When you look at cables, the rating of the cable is current vs voltage drop over length. Theoretically heat wont be involved as your cable ratings will exceed your requirements. To do it by the book you need to know how much current is drawn by that device, vs how much voltage it needs to operate co...

Don't fall into the trap of "I run this in my engine of the same type" and my jets are; Your cam is different and your manifold is different, bore size, compression?? We "blue printed" two engine's and dynoed them as an experiment, with Webers, even they were slightly different. Just use the others ...

Sorry Tony, I've lost track of the carbie swaps. Do you have this carbie dynoed or just the other one? Your going in fairly bit jet steps when you are changing them. Because you have changed many of the jets, these will all interact with each other, hopefully getting the whole lot in the ball park. ...

The fault was a bit conFUSEing, but got it sorted.
It shows how something straightforward can turn out to be unrelated to the diagnosed fault.
One of the advantages of wrecking a few Subaru's, plenty of fuses.
And patience.

Intermittant electrical faults are annoying.

I have just purchased a one owner Gen2 Outback, very neat original car. Everything is fine, well, except for some fire in the water and the ABS light was on. Did a quick check of all the fuses and sensors. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box, all ok. After doing a voltage measurement on the ABSC...

Its not just the rating of the vehicle, there are different design tow bars that have different load capacities.
If you do it, I think it would be a "once in a lifetime experience"
A short practice run might answer all your questions, quickly.:)

That reverse shaft is problem is a headache, I have seen it a couple of times when fixing boxes, never bothered to find out what the boxes came out of. I just swapped the cases to match the gears, the people who wanted the boxes didn't care about ratio's. You can also end up with the opposite, heaps...

Now Jonno you didn't listen to the instructions properly, when you pull the string across the back tires you have to look carefully at where the string sits relative to the front tyres. My's and L's have rear wheel alignment problems, from being adjusted while being used (big rocks). Provided this i...

Careful, i looked into similar ones a while ago, note the have 5 spokes, to work well with 5 studs fitting under the cap. The ones I looked at could not do the 4 stud diameter with a large centre hole.
But they look good on paper.

As long as all the parts of the choke are working, they are relatively easy to set up. Make sure the pull off diaphragm is set up correctly and works. I can be simpler to set the choke flap so it is fully open (just) when the motor is warm and the diaphragm is also pulling it open. Make sure the cho...

Careful when you undo the bolts that hold the engine cross member on, the nuts can be weathered (tight) and are relatively soft. Make sure you lubricate the thread and keep your socket straight, a slight angle on it may burr the nut, then its cutting time. The rest can be similar, but not as bad, ju...

That's not harsh, I was just pointing out its a well used method by experienced Subie owners and is ok to do.
