Hey man, welcome back!

Never really heard of H6's using oil - they are a great motor though.

So during your 'European Vacation' just how many cars did you own??

What takes you to Orange?

Good news! I purchased OME Subaru windscreen trim (at trade) when travelling along the same path - it was not too bad, but that was sometime ago now. Alternative is to leave it black, and smooth off the sixaflex. I have seen the windscreen guys do it - think it is a black art making it look good tho...

Vortex love / ebay

Though posted in 'ebay sales' thought this was worthy of a general forum post so as all the Vortex zealots may appreciate it!

While it has issues, also has lots of sugar

Have search on here for Outback diesel issues. This may not be a quick fix... I would suggest: 1). You document the issues very comprehensively and mail them to the dealer cc Subaru Aust 2). Have a 'End of warranty inspection' the RACV or equivalent offer these and they detail any issues that are th...

All of the above - nothing to worry about

Be more concerned re timing belts and tyres - both should be points to haggle the price down a bit.

Did it drive OK?

Good for her, very good for you...

And turbo EJs, should run like a swiss watch - noises that exist happily in a EA81s are mostly terminal in these motors.

Clear coat will need to be refinished - ie repainted ~$2k to 3 Noisy engine = lifters. Search on here for cheap fixes, but not always successful Power - should impress you...should be a marked difference over a NA subs. Not as quick as the WRX version (milder tune, smaller turbo etc) Even at 230K sh...

If the section that supports the screen is rusted, then yes this can potentially be repaired as per the pics from Gympie with a fabricated right angle. Not cheap if you are paying someone though IF it is any more than that, then Sims Metal is your best bet as the A pillar is critical to the structur...

I had a custom rear set up in my L that sorted all of the issues that you are experiencing

Think it was a Mitsubishi shock, that was longer and therefore deleted the spacer. Even fully laden, the car sat flat.

Steve at Rising Sun has the recipe - recall it being a cheaper solution as well.

This bloke on EBAy has fineprint refund policy...any package returned that is opened and not in original condition will get no refund. Of course I opened it.... It (really) does not matter what he says - as long as you return the goods unused, undamaged, his policy is irrelevant. Sellers also put i...

Peter Brock engine

Was reading up on Brock (RIP) and there was a mention of a business he went into and lost a bucket of cash in the early 80's No, not the polariser, but a engine that only ever needed one tool to assessable and maintain. Could not find anything on the interwebs, anyone here have any ideas or info??
