Now that i'm back as an active member I thought I would give this thread a rehash, was created around the time I joined. I have seen that Tigger is back, any other girls around? Or is Steptoe still too scary? lol Seems a little quieter since I was last active, though still many guests appearing to b...

Running in oil is designed for the dyno, costs about $30 a liter. The idea is that you do 3 FULL runs on the dyno and then the engine is run in and you can do whatever. My source? RC Performance engines, mate used to work there and thats what they do. http://www.rcperformanceengines.com.au/ The owne...

So long story short...
It fires 2 at once? The cylinder on ignition and the cylinder on exhaust? Helps to burn off anything that hasn't already?

OMG I never knew it did that! Tried it and it works beautifully! Love it!
Not that you need it in a Brumby... I warm my feet up then keep it on the demister and it keeps the car very warm.

That does sound like it would be pinging if it changes with timing. Blackwood Dyno tune (repco authorised) charge $140 ish an hour for the dyno. They did an alright job and have an exhaust gas analyser. Might be worth seeing what you can find out

I converted my EJ20G in the RX to wasted spark ignition. I uses the coilpack from just about any EJ22 or EJ25 that uses an external igniter and it works using the existing EJ20G 4 channel igniter. I mounted mine where the air-con compressor once was. Remove the conduit and tape from the start of th...

Sounds like you should have put a 2H in it. Those things will run on 2/6 cylinders and unlike a subaru motor you don't have to worry about or fix your problems straight away lol Love an old 2H toyota diesel! Nice to hear your story Peter, but I do ask one favor... can we see some pictures? Cheers Cam

Facebook is why I disappeared. Life got busy and Facebook was just quicker and easier to ask quick little questions in Subaru groups, or inbox/ private message friends that are also on here. There are some good Subaru groups, Willy will know the ones i'm talking about. However I'm back and plan to s...

My new RS Liberty rally car has an EJ20G and HKS Turbo. The guy who installed it put a digital aftermarket Temp gauge in. The sensor is installed in the top radiator hose, you cut about 2" out of it and slip the hose over each end, with hose clamps of course and it's all good. Now for this pinging A...

Old school LPG tuning says no more than total advance of 28 DBTDC for sixes and eghts at least. 40 sounds like a beer too many somewhere.... Not sure what he had it at but it wasn't much more than standard. The 40 came from someone who had thoroughly tested the RB30 with LPG and said 40 was as far ...

When Mudking91 had his r31 he was running on dedicated gas which meant he could advance the timing massively. It is suggested that he could go as far as 40 degrees BTDC
