Apparently It has been for sale and the car no longer can start!?! And been constantly stuffed around by time wasters..
I dont think they are advertising hard enough. I wouldnt give up lot of your time to wreck it because it could be weeks/months years before you sell the last part.

Hi i have just recently been told outbacks from 99=07 are notorious for doing head gaskets? So should I factor this in when I buy one? What have you guys found ? Yes/No and dont believe that. These Gen2 (1994-1998) DOHC EJ25 are prone to blow head gaskets due the design. Gen 3 Outback are SOHC same w...

I don't think you'll be able to combine the turbo's gearset with the dual range - 1st and 2nd are cast on the upper shaft which for the turbo is solid through to the output shaft. The dual range is not one piece to the output shaft due to the design of the dual range setup on the input shaft. As fo...

Mike, having a closer look at the pic, it appears that the coolant is running along the sump (as I see some up forward as well), so my best guess without seeing it first hand would be the water pump. Maybe someone sold you a dodgy car??? haha I would give it a good wash down with degreaser and go f...

Ive had one once - i wouldnt recommend to pull out a car if in trouble - they do work but i have seen cheap ones and good ones, cheap ones are dangerous if not used properly otherwise they work well. i use them for pulling trees while cutting them etc

Are the airhoses connected from manifold & engine to the airbox pipe?
I would swap the MAF sensor from another Subaru also ignition module as well.
Since you're in Ringwood - theres another outback sitting there with complete as i checked last friday - grab parts there.

tambox, the gearbox isn't noisy apart obviously from the crunching when selecting reverse, can you explain the dragging principle a little more, i'm curious yes it does go into 1st/rev easier with the motor turned off, does that suggest linkage problem???? AP, 3rd and 5th seem ok, again no noise or...

Sorry AP, I should have made it a bit clearer, I have a 92 n/a dual range liberty box sitting behind a turbo engine. the gearbox is cable operated and lately its been giving me a bit of grief. I'm a pretty lazy driver so haven't punished the gearbox at all but lately i'm finding it hard to get into...

Forgive my ignorance as i'm only starting to research this but can a turbo gear set out of a liberty/forseter/impreza be combined with a non-turbo dual range casing with the ability of keeping the dual range function??? what would be involved??? would it be necessary to change from a cable clutch t...

At least the seller is treating the OP right so might not be fair to Name and Shame them. Bit worried cos I just got an Ebay one put in. OK so far. buying stuff of ebay is a gamble - sometimes they last, sometimes it doesn't. Bought an submersible pump, one lasted 6months before water got in, bough...

Did you do the strut change at one go or one wheel a time? The hats could be in wrong position as it needs to be lined up.

Since its where the water pump side is - i would say its coming from the water pump. Timing Belt has to come off... Other place would be these hex head bolts but uncommon for it to leak there. I have also noticed a small green drip just next to the thermostat - that is closer to where the water pump...
