Just eye balled my 91 brumby, quad headlights, drivers side outer headlamp, Red/Black is the wire you want to make the spot light relay come on when high beam is lit up. That is what mine is connected to and works very well.

Well after some agonising over what to use and a need to fill that jagged hole, I stumbled across a common sink strainer, these are slip line and made of stainless and happen to be a perfect size fro my hole http://users.on.net/pedroj/cars/buddy/buddy-tray-plug-1.JPG after a bit of trimming up I end...

I think so Dave,
the tyres are about $120 each new I think and the freight would kill you unless you have a friendly tuck driver that needs some ballast :p

NanKang 205/75/14 tires Forsale

Hi, I have four near new NanKang 205/75/14 tires for sale, they still have the blue protector layer on the white lettering, probably less than 2,500 KM on them. (fitted by previous owner) A photo can be seen here http://www.users.on.net/~pedroj/cars/buddy/index.html For the purposes I use my brumby ...

rust hole in Brumby tray

Hi, I know this is a common theme for Brumby owners as 3 out of the four I have had suffer from it. At the front of the tray in dead centre (between the two drains) there will be or will be sooner or later be a rust spot that if left un checked will end up looking like this one. http://users.on.net/...

need need and more need Two Kelpie dogs did not fit well into a sedan, 10 acres of slippery paddocks to spray, fences to maintain so a Brumby was the natural choice. Being in the Barossa, the Brumby was narrow enough to fit between the rows of vines so they were very popular with the wine industry u...

Hi, can I ask how you get on with the increased gearing using the bigger tyres? I have some 205/75/14's on my brumby (fitted by previous owner) and when I was down the back paddock last night getting sticks for kindling, tried to backup a small slope to turn around and it simply would not do it, had...

Brumby meets L series

Hi Steptoe, from your experience how much clearance is there between the body and the new L series gearbox? also what did you do about CV's to connect it back up as I believe the spline count is different? I have had 4 brumby's now and each time I go through the process of thinking about a 5 speed g...

Well its been a while since I last looked at the camber but today decided to make a measurement seeing the brumby was sitting on a concrete floor for once. Out with the builders square (600 x 300mm) and sat it next to the front left tyre. At 600mm to the top of the tyre, the edge sitting against the...

Well Henpecked, you nailed that one, even the strut spacer has the same not quite finished arrow in the top. Looks like it was done with a grinder before the coating was applied. So my kit is from QLD, that's handy to know. No front on photo on the camera, too busy taking other shots, will post one ...

ID a lift kit for MY

Hello, I bought a 91 brumby back in July, it had a very new lift kit in it but so far have not been able to ID where it was bought from or indeed who made it. Al the components have a gold anodised finish, including the strut tower spacers. The brumby has a quite marked positive camber but the tower...

Be careful of the link that TOONGA sent you GAZZA01, that seller on ebay does not have any of the post 1985 locks for Brumby (already asked them some months ago) Subaru spare parts will sell you a new ignition lock and keys, I bought one for a previous 89 Brumby and it was a true joy to not have to ...

Well I found my answer in that the connections for a H4 globe and a Sealed beam are different. This stopped me in my tracks as I am sure I did this exact mod to my 89 brumby (quad lights) and did not change wiring loom. Any way, you pull apart the 3 pin connector on the back of each outer headlight ...
