the ej ps rack doesnt bolt into man steer brumby xmember, as the mounts are not big enough to fit the fatter rack in. i cut the mounts off ej member and welded them onto brumby member so utilising the ej rubber mounts and brackets. you will notice pass side mount needs moving in or out a bit to clea...

jack it up, pull the wheel, undo clamping bolt, undo ball joint nut, separate ball joint from stub assembly, use ball joint tool to get ball joint out of arm, reassemble in reverse. questions?

yea i think the unscrewing thing is funny too. jobs nearly finished here now, got a couple of 45t lifts 2morrow and friday and thats it, back to the brumby.

i loved the difference between using lightened flywheel and stock. i added flywhel and underdrive pulleys on my wrx and it was a big change. however, i sometimes stall it at lights as it wont idle away from a stop very well, mind you the brass button clutch doesnt help if you want to slip the clutch...

and where is the residual line pressure valve (rpl). normally in the rear output port of master cylinder. did you remove this, or if you didnt, was it a 4 wheel disc master cylinder, if so no wonder it had bad brakes before.

toongs, whats the difference between the brumby arms and the lseries ones. will arms bolt into brumby, are they longer, or make track wider or do they bolt onto at different spots.
can i use similar arms in my brumby and get the lseries track width?

hey pav, i know what you mean. i have a shed fabrication mob around corner from me. they let me into their scrap bin, it has all sorts of goodies. go for a look in light industrial area nearby and look for scrap metal bins/ metal fabrication places. let em know what you want it for and should be ok....

toongs i got a steering column knuckle from a liberty will suit about 1 inch front chassis lift if you want. someone may be able to confirm. im not sure as i may have moved steering column in or out. outback ones are longer

i used to get my coil springs reset at local spring works, strip struts for em, and tell them how much lower you want them, used to be $40 prob $100 now tho

sunny telfer for a week. brumby on hold, bonnet has been closed, welder wheeled into the shed. petrol can seat thrown in the bin. nice and warm (27). and internet in the room. works only with the door open tho. will keep it g rated wont it. i reckon id like a winter in darwin.

10% of weight should be on the hitch to stop it swaying. drive ute on until tow car looks normal and then a bit more. if your trailer sways around might have to move it more forward. if your trailer is quite big you may have to put ute on backwards so it is closer to front . check temps of wheel bea...
