exackery how mine have died in the past ! ~ $100 for a new one or half that on US ebay.
Actually, I was running one from an early EA82 FWD carby sedan dizzy. That involved a never to start again module, involved a bike ride to fetch and replace

I hope you only have to touch your Subaru for play over the long long weekend ;) Bennie well, I tinkered with one Subie so far [by choice :) ] and got 175 HP rated gas mixer on the twin carb EA81. I think there must be 100 odd horsies out there on the loose though :D I think it will be back to the ...

I found 4.0mm aluminium spaced the starter out on EA81 to EA82 4WD five speed did just fine. Remind to self : need to find it for next project .... or rescue another keep left sign road kill. Thanks for the dual links - I like the interior light fader and how it works. I have bought a few ebay timer...

an eight dollar oil pressure switch is also a handy thing to replace when it comes to oil leaks up front Bennie. I have similar up front leak - found the oil pump kit has dropped in price over the years from 20 bucks to 18 :) . Wondering if my oil leak is due to oil filter seal. And despite owning a...

my clutch shudders like nothin' else sometimes and at others is just perfect. Started doing it after about 20,000km or less, but outside warranty time frame. Never believe I have done anything to hurt it. Easter break a good time to pull it out to investigate but should have been armed with a machin...

EA81 - tacho said 6000 rpm !!
My goodness - I know Willys five speed FWD box has a different ratio for each cog compared to the 4 sp 4WD box in my Brumby ... I had my eye on my new SAAS in cluster tacho last night and saw it just nudge six grand in second gear and suspect it was near 90 kph. I'm not planning on doing it again. W...

your own body need some maintenace?
I tell you what, if you have ever had a soft tissue/muscle issue and been to a physio or massage therapist for some work and come out with a headful of instructions with either some rough sketches or a quick demo of three or four exercises, number of reps and the like ...then sort of forgotten the d...

Having given up on the idea of flank badges to read BRUMBY instead of SUBARU being made on a CNC by a signwriter that I no longer acknowledge is alive (think it is mutual :) ) am discussing idea again with another sign manufacturer who has similar standing with same dude mentioned above. May just ge...

GO JULES!! It is an interesting drive first up , these old girls. Mine sat eight years without even a start, another two only just being driven 150 metres, and now maybe not even a tank of juice and have a split CV boot, oil leak at the front so oil pump kit on order and new seal and oil press switc...

I is wondering how it would have run if you filled up with oil and took it for a test drive now you have one piece of stuff out of the way of the gears. We'll never know now :( Top marks on removing the gearbox with engine in place. Were you directly underneath, taking the weight of the lump, and is...

Better result than my attempt to fund a members failed components replacement scheme. At least you started with the rebuildable struts. Were the Kings part of the ride before strut replacement ? Surely it is springs that cause the jarring ? Had my Brumby out on a few windy, dirt and gravel roads yes...

Hmmm, you may have hit my nail on the head with my newer Brum sharing its ails same as yours. A comp test reveals that the previous owner bought a reasonable engine some ten years ago and got to drive it some fifty kilometres before dealer incomplete repairs failed. Engine has sat all that time, jus...
