Yeah you are right Guys, I had to move the vacuum to the other side. There was a blanking bolt on the left side & I just swapped it to the right & ran a longer hose to the brake booster. I have already had the pump mounted & all that stuff sorted, than went to go ahead & swap racks when I discovered...

Hey mate, Thanks for the tip, would be a bit easier to get wreckers to sell ya one off a Liberty or Outback. The places that I knew had one won't sell it to me cos it makes a kit incomplete. But at $600 I don't think they'll ever sell it anyway. El Freddo has offered a loan of one temporarily if I g...

MY/ Brumby power steering bits

G'day all A few months ago I managed to get my hands on a reasonably priced power steering setup from a fellow forum member in QLD. Just this last weekend I finally had a chance to fit it to the car,& upon checking everything out before getting too deep, have discovered I need a couple more bits to ...

They're nice to drive aren't they? Headed up to Benders in mine yesterday & still thinkin it's a really good thing. It's true what you're saying about Melbourne. I'm getting around all over Australia & Brumbys are definitely still around in rural areas in abundance. Never really see many in the capi...

I will make it to one of your Mallee trips eventually. I would rate that area as probably my favourite in Vic. As much as I would love to come, I'll unfortunately be on a 6 week trip touring around in my new Hilux with the ineffective LSD 😃. Here's a pic of it, as it's been mentioned a couple times ...

G'day mate, I've done this job on mine. You won't have too much trouble if you have a general mechanical aptitude. It's really just a matter of removing every component that the LPG fitter would've installed. Things you may need are; a piece of fuel hose to go to carby from fuel line. They usually c...

The explanation for these occurrences lies in the name of the diffs. Limited slip, meaning it will limit slippage, not stop it completely. I can go into describing the mechanicals inside & how they work if people would like. I have rebuilt both cone & clutch type LSDs so I know how both work. If the...

The gearbox will only fit your brumby if the car it's from looks like a brumby at the front. The boxier l series box doesn't fit without a bit of work.

Alternatively, if ya passenger seat is ok, just find another passenger seat in good order & switch the cover & foam onto the drivers seat framework. I did it & it was easier than I thought. Almost every passenger seat i've ever seen is fine. I have another in the shed,if ya don't live too far away y...
