how much for RX rear discs?

Just a quick question, how much would you expect to pay for an RX rear disc set-up? Went to the wreckers this arvo, found they had a new car (an RX) with lots of goodies still on it. But they wanted $550 for the discs and another $550 for the rear LSD! I've got no idea what a diff like that's worth ...

I've never actually had CVs get to that stage on any of my cars but from what I've heard I'm pretty certain this is not them. This makes noise at such low speeds (possibly even when not moving, just dry steering, i'll check). And I can pretty safely say it's not swaybar links, as I don't have one. ;...

Thanks a lot Adamb and Matatak, good to hear I can put a liberty one in. As to whether or not I'm sure it's coming from the rack, I'll fill you in on what it's doing. Most noticeable at slow speeds, ie carparks etc., as turning the wheel towards full lock can feel in the wheel and hear a couple of c...

Which steering rack for L series-EJ20 ?

Hi all, firstly my car is an '87 L sedan with EJ20. Now I want to replace the steering rack due to nasty clunk when turning the wheel backwards and forwards, and I'm not sure whether I need to get an L series or an impreza/liberty one? I'm not sure what's in there now but I've got a feeling it's not...

problem's sorted! after listening a bit closer the fan actually was working but the vacuum controlled shutters or whatever they are that change where the air comes out (top, middle or bottom) weren't working so it was all coming out the bottom. long story short, one of the vacuum pipes that attaches ...

internal fan/heater not working - L series

Ok so there's something wrong with the internal fan/heater set up on my L series. Running an EJ20 with no air con connected. The main problem with this is with the cooler months fast approaching i need the heater to defog the windscreen. basically i have no experience with this stuff and have no ide...

Yeah mate I know what you mean. Either come down to the club meeting like stamp_licker said or maybe we organise a forum members drive or something for anyone who maybe isn't ready to actually join a club yet. That said, once you've been on a club trip you'll know a lot more people with some awesome...

(sorry to extend the hijack)
but couldn't it be that both width and length play a part in increasing "flotation"? i have noticed just by looking that my old nankangs bagged out sideways alot more than my bfg muds do, surely this makes some difference?

You guys make it look so easy too!
Despite owning an L series I've always (and still do) liked the look of the MYs better so I love seein all the wagons you guys have restored.
Keep up the good work.

are you still running those massive tyres? I guess that's the other thing I should have mentioned. I now have a set of daily driver wheels, ie. 13" with road tyres. Partly because it's faster, handles better and is better fuel economy with the little wheels, and partly because I can't afford to be ...
