I'm not doing the thread bumping lol - the forum must be doing it automatically. I'm not losing hope...I found three sets of twin carbies and a twin port engine. I suppose it doesn't really matter now...I have one on there but it's pretty damned ordinary and makes the engine bay look a bit rough.

It's so damned annoying because these systems aren't particularly easy to find these days! And they almost never work first go without throwing $$'s at them. Difficult to know where to start to try and find a non-standard compressor out of a different model car. What do you even search for? 80's air...

I'm still around, I've completed everything I want to do with my Brumby now and need to stop throwing $$$'s at it and start enjoying it so that's sort of dropped my participation on here a little. Plus working all the time for said $$'s.

Sick of these a/c compressors (Brumby)

Hi all, Been away a little while - apologies for that. I've had bad luck with several Brumby a/c compressors now (including two remans, one which didn't pump and my latest bought from WA which leaked gas and then seized after reseal). Running out of options here - these old a/c's are hard to find an...

Twin carby engine is going great guns, it is an absolute rocket machine and effortless to drive. Engine does not really warm up which is my fault because my radiator fans are locked on - need to go see a sparky about a modification to the temperature sender circuit. Fouled the spark plugs completely...

I was offered 20k for mine, original look with upgrades including p/s, seats, a/c, etc and stock engine. Full body respray in maple beige. I said no.

It has a twin carby manifold and heads now so not really sure what it's worth...

Not really interested in competing as mine certainly isn't a shitbox but I would be interested in meeting up with other passionate Brumby owners in NSW, maybe a small rally type of thing.

Got mine for free and then paid top dollar to get it reconditioned. If they're reconditioned and preferably unused then they will fetch 500-600 as it costs 700 to do (well it cost me that because I had to have mine rechromed). Working out of a car I wouldn't want to be paying more than $200 as you s...

Hi all, Apologies for being a little silent lately due to various commitments. Just on to post a quick update for my Brumby project. Attached is a photo of the finished engine going into my car - JDM factory EA81S with dual port heads and twin Hitachi carburettors. The engine is in and has been to t...

It is something to do with EGR. There is a hole in the exhaust port which leads to a hole on the back of the head which that pipe connects to, then into the air filter box.

JDM Twin Carb Diagrams

Hi all, I know I'm unlikely to have any success, but does anybody know more about the factory EA81 twin carbies, specifically a plumbing diagram or equivalent information? Just got a few weird bits and pieces, appears no fuel return line on these, also the existing '89 emissions plumbing is very dif...
