Absolutely awesome torque and it would be great for towing as long as you never wanted to over take or accelerate. It is a a pity the power is only 110kw. It would be too slow for my liking. You can't complain about the mileage at all. Over 1000k's to a tank.

It has been like that since the Gen 3. Only way to fix it is to fit taller tyres. Work out the percentage ratio, then find out the OD of your tyres, at the percentage and then find a tyre with that OD.

I'm using a 225x70/16 and my speedo is now only 2% out but the other way now.

The dual range box will be fine if you don't flog it. Pretty well goes for any Subaru 5 speed box with a turbo. First and Second gear let go quite often when you give them a hard time.
