Hi Mark, Welcome to the forum, The impreza LX will need the whole driveline swapped also. The Impreza RX is AWD but you will probably want upgrade the brakes also. A WRX of that age is probably the most cost effective method of getting a turbo Subaru. Or find someone else's conversion. There are man...

No worries Pete! The bug bites again!

Are you keeping an eye on the other Subaru forums also? If you see any meets, post them up in the Queensland section also. Nothing like crashing a meet and then out-driving them in lifted mud wagons ;)

We fixed the problem. It took six hours of bastard hammer swinging. At one point, if you could take a core sample of the stub axle and inner, you would find the original punch, punch, drill bit, tapered punch, punch. The eventual fix... A name brand punch and an even bigger hammer. A big thank you g...

Thanks for the encouragement :)

WD40 hasn't seemed to soak in well enough, but you have given me reason to buy a blowtorch :D

Ah crap. Thanks for the heads up! I'd best find another diff then to keep me on the road. Whilst tapping out a roll pin (and it was only a tap), the pin decided to seperate and the punch kept on going. It didn't feel any different to the other 3 I had just done or any others in the past. Until, bang...

Want I need a diff to suit an MY/Brumby.

G'Day Guys,

I'm in need of a diff to suit an MY/Brumby.

3.9 would be preferred. But any offers would be great.

Thanks,

Is an MY driveable without a rear diff?

G'Day all,

I need to pull the diff out of my Brumby.

Is it fine to drive it in 2WD with the Diff, Driveshafts and Propshaft removed?

It won't be driveable with diff in at present.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dane

The weak are protected much more in todays society.

Also, bring in the breeding licences!

Wagon looks good!

(Watch the movie 'Idiocracy', it's very tongue in cheek, but not far off the mark either)

I edited an old post... does it still show $1500? My screen shows $5000. I guess the title can't be changed?

EDIT: Some screens show me the title with the correct year and price and others are showing the old details.
I know not to do it next time.

Brisbane Fasteners

G'Day Suba Friends,

Does anyone know of a fastener store open Saturdays in Brisbane? I'm in need of some bolts for my lift kit prior to heading out to Gatton on Saturday night.

Much appreciated,

Compliance wise - ADR style, the MY or rather MV Brumby is just a 'light truck'
Is that why the Brumby was discontinued in the early 90's? I heard that it was because of ADR, but I didn't realise it was classed as a light truck?

Is that true?

Reserve not yet met on the Rally RX.

Nah they came only in sedan, but Ive seen people converting them to AWD on wagons. Not good above, I am not experienced in that kind of area - wish could help... Cheers AP +1 But you would need to check the tunnel clearance still. Maybe a lifted Subaru (increase body to trans distance) so you can b...
