It's not my car, it's the job i started to copy when i did mine.
Mine only has one bolt on each side
Was about the only thing on the poor old Brumby i never had any trouble with!

All the info i have says Foerster and Outback are 48, while Impreza and Liberty are 55.
If you could find some 40ish offset wheels it should help.

What year model Forester struts do you use to fit 215/70/16 tires on, I am assuming the SF5 97 ones should be the correct ones? These just use with the Impreza springs and top hats, at the moment the car has the V2 sti damper adjustable struts in it with some height adjustable top hats, I am wonder...

We have companys down hear who locate parts in Japan, buy them and ship them to you.
I reckon your best bet would be to find someone in the states doing that.
Mostly used for JDM performance parts, so check websites/magazines etc.

What dissapoints me most(yes more than the styling!) is that with Toyota's experence with mid engine rear drive, and Subaru's engine - gearbox package, they couldn't build a true sports car.

The first female diff was the VLSD in the Gen1 Ser1 Lib, they had stub axels held in by circlips, which allowed them to work with standard early type driveshafts. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee236/d_a_z_a_w/Legacy_Parts_Catalog_p356.gif http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee236/d_a_z_a_w/Legac...

The 215/70/16 is slightly larger than the 215/75/15 Yarney and I run (27.9" v 27.7") Yarney has scrubbing on full lock that he's not completely happy about, but that's with Lib offset wheels. It MAY be alright on the Forester rims? The 215/65/16 is 27.0" and should be a safe size, but I've not actul...

Suby motors do have a reputation for air locks. There was a stink some years ago, some people had cooked their motors and tried to get Subaru to pay for it. I had a little trouble with the Lib at one stage, ended up parking slightly nose up, filling and running it for a bit, then shutting it down, l...
