There is a way to get around the keypad when this happens.

The best way tho, is to plug a battery into your ciggy lighter so you have some power still running to the car wile you swap over.

That lo range is useless its 1.19:1 I wouldn't see why you would need it for daily driving unless u had massive wheels on it

dear god! I have never seen something so simple get SO over complicated.
Seriously Jaffa (not having a dig at you) but if your that confused and worried about installation simply have a Subaru mechanic do it for you.

Ok, Ill clarify
OEM as in stock/non heavy duty, don't get a beefy puck clutch and some pressure plate that's going to kill your gearbox.

Go talk to CBA Malga (ask for Brendan, no not me) and get a OEM style clutch (think of a weaker clutch as a fuse for your gearbox)

As for install Im sure Matt could arrange a Saturday 'CASH' job at his workshop

I like it! simple, but it appears to be secure enough and doesn't seem to affect you departure angle.

Could be coil as Matt mentioned also check the plugs are correct for your car (i know it sounds simple)

Also is it braking down under load at that rev range? or all the time?
