Mounting it the way I decided to go, that is not modifying the RVR carrier bar (about 120mm square tube) I was always going to have to cut the bumper to fit over it the bar. After much delay due to the recent Perth heat wave, I finally extracted a digit yesterday and got my rear tyre carrier mounted.

It is from a Mitsubishi RVR, and I strongly recommend it as a base to work from.
