Bugger Guy that sucks.
I had the same leak in my auto vortex when i got her in 99, i put some Cargo metalic sealup in her and i still havent had to do the gasket. Im going to replace the gasket finally.
I hope it only the gasket mate and its reasonably painless.

Hey Guy the dash is quite straight forward to remove , there are only 8 bolts and take off the steering wheel first. all the wiring is attached to the fire wall and there are only minor things to move. Try some Cargo " metalic sealup first it will fill the hole in the heater. and not corrupt the res...
