I am back on this subject again.
Does anyone in the Newcastle area have for sale a set of (5) 13" x 5, Sunnie style OEM Subaru rims for an MY with a 40 to 45mm + offset (not L series with the 55mm + offset. I already have a set of these)

Quietly watching your build up and envious of you being able to do this. Wish I had the time and money to do the same. I am wondering about the alternator. From one of the previous posts it is a 90A from Nissan VG30E Maxima. Did it end up bolting straight in ? Were there any mechanical mods needed t...

The pump, filter all mounting on the plate looks different to your photo.
I will have to get under the car at some stage and have a look.
Thanks for the info guys

I have another option. Years ago I pulled a fuel pump out of a later model Brumby (mounts in the rear up near the tank), pump, wiring to the immediate connector (plus a bit including both parts of the connector) and the pump mounting plate that connects it onto the car body. Trouble is, I cant recal...

Trouble is, I cant get any info from the supplier to confirm much.
Looks like some numbering info on the photo from the seller.
Might mean something. Will check with my original pump if I can find it.

Early MY fuel pump

This unit as per the link looks to be the same as my original fuel pump. My original pump died a few years ago and I sourced one from NZ which was similar to the original but is pretty noisy. Wouldn't mind fitting an OEM pump to get back to standard. This unit is being listed as suiting a 1600 engin...

Looks great, I'm not cashed up enough at the moment to get these (joys of the MY being a hobby car) just recovering from rego etc.
Wouldn't mind a photo from side on to see offset but if these sit better than the usual Sunnies I'm definitely going with these over Sunnies.

I have seen those on ebay now you mention it.
Hadn't looked into how the +55 offset would look under the MY guard and how much it may stick out.

I seem to have missed something.
Phil's reproduction Scorpion style rims ?
Have I been living under a rock ?
More details please, I have no idea of this potential.

Pug rim questions

Looks for a set of (5) 14" rims for the MY wagon. Widening my options and starting to look seriously at 504 and 505 Pug rims. Sorry for all the questions but I think I am going to have more luck in finding 14's from a Pug than other rims for early Subaru's Wondering on comments re - -504 rims need s...

Looking to address slow electric drivers window on the MY. Happy to pull the door trim off and clean but for lubrication on window runners/mechanisms on electric or wind up windows what sort of lube to use. I was intending to use white lithium spray grease but some people on the web seem to prefer s...

Note the comment regarding the non cancelling indicators fix and from the photo the screw for the indicating cancellation.

I haven't had to look into the rear CV's.
I am still running the original 34 year old units and cant even recall having to change boots on the rear in the 18 years we have had the car.

Thanks everyone.
I am thinking to make a big point of asking for the construction of the CV before buying to see what info comes back.
May also look at out local AutoPro as they are reliable and get good info.

OK, another question, I have only experiencec the 6 ball caged CV's but I understand there is also the Tripog bearing design with a 3 needle bearing design. Anyone have any experiences with the Tripod type, are they any better or not compared to the 6 ball type. My thoughts are that if I am handed a...

CV Shaft suppliers for MY

Anyone have any advice on sellers of decent/good quality/complete CV shafts for the front of MY's. Specifically looking for sellers on ebay at this stage and to replace both the front shafts with the next 3 to 6 months. From memory there are CV's with the 6 ball cage and others with a sort of tri be...
