Your certainly keen on this one arent you. I like the idea of replaceing every bush on the old L, but why these ones. They will be a mongrel to wrestle with once you muster the courage to remove from vehicle. I suppose I could remove the ones outta the one I have. But I expect it to be an epic job. J.

here are photos of the difference, power steering one is on the left in all photos - interesting that the standard one is all fancy pressed metal with reinforcing flanges etc, and the power steering one is just bent thicker strap metal. That is dispicable :p From my experience this is similar to L ...

I really should update this thread. Busy with other pursuits. Wow. I now see as to what extent your love for the 82's go. Haha the love wont last forever when there are such newer (younger) hotter engines (and women) out there. As an expression of interest what is your budget for the engine? $1700 w...

Ok good points you make rally. Im only suggesting that since the engine is somewhat stripped down anyway why not work with that. The help im offering is that Im keen on the old L series and what you have in that sedan is awesome. Plus your only about 100kms away. I for one would like to see you get ...

turbos are seized, the cams need to be reground, block needs to be bored to remove the rust (probably too deep for just a hone), heads are missing, timming belt pullies are destroyed in rust along with the distributor and the headers are rusted through (hence customer headers).... The only part wor...

Nice find. Where abouts in NSW are you as I may be able to help with engine etc. All of those crusty parts can be salvaged even possibly the cams in those rotten looking cam boxes.

Just plug it off. Car will run fine without it
+1
Looks like air injection valve. Not essential to good engine running.

I have a spare throttle body. Of course it will be useless without the screws if I part with them.

Nice work Willy. I saw the that vortex on ebay for quite a while, good thats its finally gone to join your stable. Also proves the point about fuel system problems on cars left idle for so long, esp these EFI models.

Its not critical if the fuel is premium, not for the purpose of getting it started anyway. If its the turbo engine you really will need 95 or better. I was more trying to steer you from putting in an ethanol blend fuel, and eliminating old stale fuel as the cause of it not starting and running. As f...
