I was right. It is Suba, formerly known as Subamike, the windscreen guru. Where am I ? About 4000 km east of Perth and down a bit, outside Canberra where Lturbo was asking windscreen questions from not so long ago. So I am a bit far for you to drive to watch me at work trying to do your job. My expe...

Dr. Jono looks in and ... YES....I WAS RIGHT Good to hear Robbo 78Robbo - you have no idea how much money and time I spent chasing that fuel supply problem so soon after buying my beast. Stumped me mechanic mate who just watched with amusement at my anger as I got the old fire extinguisher pumped up...

WANTED: Home made cockroach bait trap ideas

Cockroaches , seems to be a fitting topic for Australia Day ! I know of a European migrated couple that went back home because the wife could not tolerate the black cockies in Sydney !! I was born here and I can't stand the little bastards either. The other night I squashed one underfoot on the way ...

The starter motors look different in the Gregorys manual and in real time view- between MY and L series. I think it is important to have same number of teeth and same size between the two before even trying But it sounds as if they are interchangeable between models I have been having odd starter mo...

I have done both, with and without the relay. i also recommend the relay as without the switch inside gets pretty hot. I have used an air con switch in the dash to do the job. Actually seeing as though my air con is not wanted for power reasons and space reasons the original air con dash switch oper...

before kitting your carby , try to work out if it really needs it first

take lots of digital photos of the whole process to assist with assembly of linkages and hoses etc

wouldn't like to be your boss on the Friday after the 2:30 am finish those stupid wire hose clamps - one day you may just appreciate their design. I used to share your opinion until I worked out why they sealed better with less clamp force than any other clamp, not that I can explain in words though...

I contacted NGK with this sort of query , hoping they'd send a free sample, and the reply was that iridiums not any better in EA applications. I just run the BP5ES or whatever my gas equivalent is supposed to be . And you don't need iridiums to get 100,000km out of plugs. Unleaded keeps 'em kleen, I...

where's me camera..or ..picture this....

cruising along yesterday I was behind a scene that was worth a photo but me camera slid too far under the seat to reach it...so you will just have to picture it.... fairly new STi , number plate FAST , being closely monitored by a marked patrol car in a 60 zone, trying to sit in the wrx's blind spot...

begin to suspect something not correct re pistons and the 'variety' available. when I rebuilt my old EA81 the pistons came in a box with label stating pistons for EA71/EA81 I did not measure or compare with old. They were flat tops anyway. 40 thou oversize = 1.0mm . Made in Taiwan jaa or jja brand o...

Um, Hi Steve. do your carbies have little glass sight windows (to check levels) with a dot or line etched to indicate the desired level / I thought mine did, just crick your neck with a good light while its running if you do got window. Old gaskets usually break up but yours should endure a few on a...
