Stu, It is 65x5, and I am seam welding it under the floors there. I found that that part there is where the rear section is joined to the front MY common front part, if u get my drift, and therefore a weakness in the shell being that it runs straight across the whole floor, with only a few spotwelds...

For $500 (what it cost me, retail, no discount) I got the shop to bend an entire systen, custom made, from the block to the tip, including making custom equal length headers, a new hotdog and a new large 'box' muffler at the rear. I used 2 1/4 inch steel, 'crush' bends (ie: not mandrel) fully welded...
