You can check the codes yourself : Under the dash on the drivers side there are two balck plugs and two green plugs... these are used to reset the computer as discussed in another thread.... to obtain fault codes from the computer you just have to connect the two black plugs together and then turn t...

I know it sounds strange but check the alternator.

Mine did something very similar and it was the alternator at fault.

Yeah its good stuff if used correctly. I'm just about to do a set of chrome rims with it. Its really expenisve to get the chrome chemically stripped and very time consuming to mechanically strip and impossible to paint straight over. But the plastidip will stick to it OK according to the manufacturer.

Yeah thats definitely cool :) One of the best ute conversions I have seen. Although the rear part of the cab looks just a bit too big/long - but I guess thats the shortest they could get it by using the rear section of a sedan. Maybe thats what I should have done instead of trying to get WRX gear in...

Be a little cautious with this seller. For a start, he advertises the starting price as $250, yet in the description is selling each book individually for $60-100 Most are parts catalogues, only a few are manuals. He also has only got feeback of 10 with TWO negative, all for Subaru books. If someon...

hehehe yep I'm an old bastard :)

Actually I think Facebook could be one of the best possible things that could happen to society to bring us all together etc etc

But it is done so poorly and is so invasive that I just don't want to go anywhere near it................

The auto is rubbish - what you have described is exacly what they are all like. Also in sport or manual mode it is still really an auto and will change up and down regardless of what you tell it to do. This is the one big fail of Subaru and is the main reason I bought a Legnum wagon instead of a Sub...

Gumtree is owned by eBay :) Yes I know - but Gumtree you get what you want for your item or a closely negotiated price and don't pay fees. eBay you can end up getting next to nothing for the item and you don't have any choice but to sell it. Unless you start the auction at the minimum price you wil...

I have tried to sell things previously on ebay and they just don't go for enough money and the fees are bloody ridiculous.

So I have a new golden rule - buy on ebay sell on gumtree :)

Yeah I reckon with an IRS (fixed diff) and stiffer mounts I can get away with 10mm and I can get that by moving my rear crossmember / diff back about 10mm.
