The two bearings I have in the garage are the same mate. Double check the pivot is in the lower of the two holes (gen 2 casing onward off memory) as the upper is for hydraulic push-type clutch fork. My old liberty had a cable clutch and I don't think it hit the floor off memory, but I still had the ...

Nice work getting the motor out without a crane, wholy crap it must have been heavy!

+ one for getting the heads resurfaced, doesn't cost much in the big picture and you'll get a nice tight motor from it, plus a lot of peace of mind...

A Foz does have more ground clearance but the big thing is the outbacks overhanging bumpers. Anyone driving a standard OB will expect a fair bit of damage to them! The Foz (depending on year) has exc approach & departure angles. I can attest to this with extreme certaintity  By all report...

Great work bennie, keep it up mate! The peice of mind from getting all that extra bracing in will be well worth it! How's the progress going on the chassis stiffening? Had you considered a H-brace like what is used in some race cars? http://www.meganracing.com/uploadimage/regular/7282010_124946_338_...

best way to enlarge without loss is to print onto overhead transparency. Borrow an old overhead from someone and then you just need a wall, butchers paper and a texta! Project the image onto the wall and move the projector back/forward until the image is the size you need. My sister's father-in-law ...

Good score Gulph! Shame about the process, but not a bad outcome! I have a 180 mig as well and similiar to Frog, never quite managed to get stick welding down fully - but mig welding... mmmmhmmm yum yum yum. I'm completely self taught - check out 'welding tips and tricks' on you tube - the dude is a...

URGENT crank shaft pulley launceston

Hey tassie crew I'm currently in Launceston and my crank shaft pulley has shat itself. It's rounded out the locating notch and is unbalanced, it's spat the altenator/ps belt off once already and I don't want to drive the car much further. As I'm supposed to be road tripping with mates while we're do...

One more day to go!

Tomorrow, Wednesday January the 4th is a special day for me because... I'm getting married! For those that know tassie we're tying the knot in freycinet national park. My trusty soob is delivering my bride to be, via a 4wd track. Naturally we chose somewhere Frank could be appropriately involved and...

+1 for biggest battery you can find My battery is quite seriously squished into the engine bay - was an easy fit with the liberty's EJ22 but with the outbacks EJ25 it's VERY tight. I think the CCA is something outrageous like 850... Here's the link: http://www.gsyuasabatteries.com.au/asp/index.asp?p...

Wholly sh*t rhys, that sucks! Such an absolute shame! It looks like it's only a little bit more dented than mine when I bought it at auction (it was a hail storm write off). As it was written off I had to get VIV and RWC inspections to get it back on the road, and Just Car Insurance will insure hail...

Can anyone post a photo of which is the ignition relay? I'm guessing its in the panel above the interior fuse box but i'd be buggered if I know which relay it is. Also, is there two relays, side by side?

A photo would be super!

Thanks in advance,
Owen.
