ej22 ecu

so the ej22 was dieing quite rapidly in my vortex, so i switched the ej25 dohc back in. along with all ej22 sensors and intake wiring. it has spark, injectors have pulse and there is fuel pressure. but it is not starting or even spluttering? it has ej22 crank/cam sensors, ej22 knock sensor, iacv, tp...

I should say I found this out in a drive through and building the rev's slowed the rise in temperature.

I was thinking revs to move the water around? I will flush the rad and chech thermostat on the weekend

just matching part numbers between ej22 and ej25 water pumps, leeds me to belive they are the same thing?
i have a ej25 parts motor and a ej22 in my liberty that appears to be with a dud water pump, it heats at a stand still and drops as soon as you start moving could be my problem?

Cheers! It has 16" Subaru alloys on it ATM and if I switch those with the forester wheels I only drop to 15's so that's all sweet.
