But why would that stop it from turning over? It would obviously not give fuel but should still turn over at normal speed?

EJ25 SOHC Outback won't start (fixed, thanks tambox!)

So as some of you may have noticed, I've being advertising an ej25 sohc outback that was going to be used in my brumby. It was bought approx this time last year, and I was running it every week or so for months. Then I got lax and let it sit for 3-4 months. Went to start it as someone wanted to insp...

Well mine was really bad since the 2" body lift. Basically cut and welded the gearstick on a slightly different angle. It no longer fouls on the 4wd linkages. But it can also be sloppy bushes. Shifter still sloppy but goes into reverse easy as now.

Hi there everyone. I need to get some electrical work done on my 05 Forester. I'm thinking of getting a new stereo unit and UHF radio setup in my dash, but I have no idea how to install it. I'd be happy to buy both the units from one shop and get them to install, but not sure what store would stock...

Instant death of engine means the alternator is toast. TOONGA Yeah that's what we figured. Being a shit week for car problems! B00sting, a failed alternator should illuminate all the red warning lights under the dash. You can also use a voltmeter to check the volts at the battery. Once started the ...

Ok at this stage thinking alternator.
Towed car back and started it with another battery.
As soon as car started disconnected battery and car died instantly.
Just a coincidence that it happened straight after a service lol.

Weird electrical problem (brumby)

So car was just serviced, nothing major. The only electrical related thing to be fixed was the headlights, 2 globes were replaced. Driving home last night, all of a sudden car loses power slowly. As soon as it started happening I couldn't rev the car, dash display was still on at this point. Car die...

Well actually you can, depending on what you are using it for. Horses for courses. I would take my lib any day now over a cruiser, for what I use it for. Dont get stuck thinking you need a 4" lift to go offroad either. The most capable brumby I know of has only a 2" lift and stock suspension. It ha...

I would get a newer cruiser.
My plan was body lift, 4" strut lift, ej25 and dual range manual. with that combo the brumby would be great offroad. but if you want lockers, the ability to fit 38" tyres blah blah, then the brumby pales by comparison.

you can't beat a cruiser.
