transfer disc fix?

Is it worth trying to bring a 4 sp auto back to life? I suspect a bad trans cooler has caused the problem, bubbles on dip stick and diffs are locked so bad a heavy foot on the gas is what it takes to turn sharply at slow speed.
Its behind ea82 turbo in a 90 loyale wagon.

Although I'm new to Sub-wheeling, I always mounted my diff and alxe breathers on my land cruisers and toyotas remotely via hose to keep them clear of water, mud etc.

My thought's also. I'm going to pull the engine from the loyal and rework it for my RX. I know the sender is really a thermistor, so I anticipate having to use an auxillary temp gauge and sender. It's a matter of where to place new sender.

temp senders 1.8 turbo

Hi guys, I just 'bout melted my Loyales 1.8 without much warning. Both my turbo cars run 1/4 gauge at temp. I noticed my gauge creep to less than 1/2 scale and return to normal. I thought time to replace t-stat then I had no power. I pulled over, it stalled and was hot! Too hot to touch much under t...

89 Rx

Hi guys, This is my '89 RX. 1.8 turbo, 5 sp,low range, diff lock, all electric. Just picked it up for 400.00 USD. Someone put a K&N, one of those turbo relief valves in the air intake duct and plugged off the aav hose. It wouldn't run cold for them. I put all back to stock and it runs great. It needs ...

Greetings,
I've just arrived from Washington state USA. I have a couple ea82 1800 turbo vehicles, '90 Loyale and '89 rx. Can any one direct me to an outfit I can purchase a lift kit for my RX? I've had no luck here in the states.
I enjoy the site, lots of good stuff.
