with shannons i get multi policy discounts and you can list cars that are restoration projects as such and pay stuff all for full comprehensive whilst they are being built in your garage.

ps you can buy a big paint kit of herculiner with the application brush then all you need is turps and your done. from memory a few hundred the kit was.

Nice one mate. I used herculiner on my brumby tray but I hand applied it.
Mind you my tray was really clean already so prep work was easy!

So.... the problem was... JUMPER LEADS!
The jumper leads weren't supplying enough voltage to start the car, problem solved. Slightly embarassing! Car fired straight away with different jumper leads!

I have to thank forum member tambox for discovering this for me today! Legend!

But why would that stop it from turning over? It would obviously not give fuel but should still turn over at normal speed?

Well mine was really bad since the 2" body lift. Basically cut and welded the gearstick on a slightly different angle. It no longer fouls on the 4wd linkages. But it can also be sloppy bushes. Shifter still sloppy but goes into reverse easy as now.
