my EA82T had no issues with lag at all, small turbo with big exhaust and 15psi.
amazing engine, never had an issue
its great, but u would really need an aftermarket ECU like a Megasquirt to take full use of it

its that and far more. it means that you can modify the very firmware the ecu operates off, u can change all the paramaters that the ecu reads, processess and sends information. so if u have an ignition setup that a different aftermarket ecu cannot read, u can nut it out with a calculator to sequenc...

Cats before a turbo? As turbos spin up due to exhaust "impulses" rather than "flow" (AFAIK), wouldnt that increase turbo lag?
