2001 B4 Alternator

My alternator has somehow stopped working, the auto electrician guy said the rectifier was gone. Making the output go strange. Subaru want to charge $1100 for a new one, does anyone know if i can get mine repaired/ rebuilt. Also mine seems to be a different physical size and different plugs to a WRX...

yeah, the amp gets its power through one of the pins going to the plug on the back of the standard deck. I did connect it on mine, but i couldnt notice much difference.

i will check that ... i think i might have fixed it though. I moved the silly alarm siren thing in the bonnet and it hasnt done it since so i think it might have some wires shorting out

on my car (2001 Lib b4) The line from the secondary bypass valve (second photo) is hose number 22 Which goes up to one of the metal tubes that run across the firewall to the other side of the intercooler to a unknown device. yeah i used to run about 14 degrees with 98 octane and it would run on slightly so i backed it back to 12 and that stopped that.

Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction (P0340)

In my 2001 Liberty B4 i am having a strange electrical issue. The idle is slightly rough.. sometimes the check engine light will flash on and off. It will show a p0340 could be 0430 (it is the camshaft position sensor code). I have replaced this sensor, check all the wiring and its all in spec accor...

i do some drafting.. im not really a drafty..

i work for thiess fabrication in kwinana.. my main job is programming the welding robot. But since ive broken my leg ive done alot more drafting work.
