I can see someone else uses a dremel style rotary tool to clean their gearbox :) Notice also the cat converter halfway down the car. My 85 has it directly off the turbo in the dump pipe. Looks like the rearest gearbox mount bolts can be used for EJ box as a brace across the mount holes and that bra...

If the tailshaft drops off for some reason, that will catch it and prevent it sticking into the ground and possibly flipping the car. At least that's what someone told me once and I guess it mak...

I was thinking that as Mark has a few years on me, my advice may be headed, or at least considered. Think we are both hoons at heart :-P . Mark, I withdraw my advice as you are not dealing with the rudimentary, agricultural NVH of an MY/Brumby/BRAT/MV1800 My induction roar is all I want anyone to h...

Yeah but this is because you're "coming of age" Jonno! Mark, I didn't know about the XT6 crossmember. I only find this interesting as I have no plans of dropping an EJ gearbox into my L ;) And the top of those door cards - have they been replaced? I should post a pic of mine as the rears are crazed...

Is this true Mark? I use the 2 front sections of the Liberty/Legacy crossmember when I do an EJ D/R into an L. I find that the front holes line up perfectly but looking at the XT6 front piece looks like they are different. It makes more sense to use the XT6 as they should be idendical to the L. Yes...

Comes to mind Ive never posted this up, but a pretty cool guy hooked me up with this set up. I think the donor was a crashed car as the waic radiator was grinning at me when I opened it up. So I sent it to a shop to be straightened out and recored. Turns out they straightened it out and pressure tes...
