Definitely time for the major. Any oil leaks need to be sort? Best time to pull out and freshen right-up nope none, i did have a very small leak from one of the cam cover seals, but i just tightened it up and it went away (it was actually leaking into the spark plug hole) I did my timing belt at 13...

Seeing as I'm stuck over east in the land of giant whiting lol (not!), I'm keen to hear of some good fishing exploits ;) PS: has anyone been having a go at the salmon? I think the run ends in April? nah the proper run starts in april. Easter weekend is always a very popular time down in the souther...

Either way Alex, after 200,000kms the shockies are probably stuffed and worth replacing anyway. I saw a set of 07 Bilsteins on Gumtree today.. only low kms too yeah i'll be taking it off the road in afew weeks for a big overhaul. She hit 200k on the weekend. Needs the big service now! Not really ke...

Very nice! Well done.

EJ22 smokes an EA82t. I know this first hand. Matt(subafury) had a fairly modified EA82t in his wagon when I was running a Ej22. Not only was it quicker down the quarter, it was also a bazillion times better off road.

It isn't a clunk. It sounds metallic higher pitched.

Highly doubt any bushes are dead. It'll be the sway bar link(might need a regrease) or something internally in terms strut.

Did you replace the swaybar links or just the bars? as I've seen a lot of swaybar links make odd noises over my time, even when they look in good condition. Other option is to drive down to the workshop and chuck her on the hoist? its just the swaybar links i replaced (typo sorry) its like a higher...

can suspension become noisy with age?

Hey guys, My liberty is currently using the factory subaru struts with low king springs all round. Ive been running this combo since i bought the car (at 60,000km) it is about to hit 200 000km. Ive noticed a really really annoying rattle recently in the front right area. I have pulled the strut out,...

subaru use KYB as their shock supplier.

Id be replacing with KYB struts like we all have pretty much done. Run a KYB shock with king springs and youll get a nice, pretty stiff ride.

Jules wants them for his vortex. The difference is about 1 or 2inches in height. 2wd rear shocks have a higher spring base, and will lift the back of a 4wd wagon, 2WD front struts will lower a 4wd wagon, but obviously in a 2wd(or road spec)car youd expect them to sit at the proper height. I learnt t...

in regards to the bonnet, youll only be able to use a early gen3 b4 bonnet, the upgraded gen3 (02 onwards) looks the same but is different enough not to fit nicely.
