Im leaning towards an EJ20 because of the 'newer' factor and it may easier to get licensed..eventually ;)

i got the same problem on mine. the LHR door won't open. the lock is stuck in the lock position.. there's probably a heap of dust built up in it from all the offroading trips and now it just wont budge. i tell everyone to get in through the other door but im thinking a drill and jigsaw aint a bad id...

I designed (on google sketchup) and built my headunit surround out of 3mm MDF for my 89 L. it has a shelf on top for my sunnys. I did have problem changing stations everytime i hit 3rd until i made a short shifter. ;)

another thing to check is the connection plug thats in the loom under the dash (near the pedal box right up under the bugger) not the one the main light switch plugs into the one that is really hard to find some times that is full of corrosion as well TOONGA thanks mate.. i had a look at this conne...

Just this week end i was out fishing on some rocks at hilarys in perth and as my girlfriend and i were getting in my car a commondore drove past and threw an empty redbull can at my suby.
