The main problem seems to be that the joint on one end of the shafts is not sealed like the other, and it always seems to get water and dirt in it after a while. I would rather not have to constantly buy new shafts. Is it possible to put two sealed joints on the one shaft? And could front inner join...

I have the specs here, +2 degrees and 35 minutes, give or take 45 minutes. So up to +3 degrees and 20 minutes is still within spec. Best way to get rid of it is to install a lift kit, the front strut spacers on a properly made kit angle the struts and remove some of the camber. If you want to try ti...

On my Datsun I used red high strength loctite thread sealant, because I had rack spacers and there is nowhere to put the lock tab. I can't say how safe it is but that is what everyone who uses spacers does.

I will adjust it up a bit and see how it goes, then I will decide if I want to keep the lift in the rear or not.

Rear drive shaft rebuild

I remember this being discussed earlier but I can't find the thread.

Where to get new CV joints and boots for rear shafts? I have 3 rear shafts and none have good joints on them.

Torsion bar adjustment instead of lift blocks

Is there any reason why I shouldn't remove my 2" lift blocks from the rear of my MY wagon and just adjust the torsion bars so they are 2" higher? I know that the CV joints will be at bigger angles, but now with lift blocks and the car level, the axles are angled down to the diff. I want the shafts a...

I got them sent to my local Bridgestone select in port adelaide. $25 each for fit, balance and installation, no disposal fee for the old tyres. There was also a discount when buying them because I got them sent to a fitter and not my house.

I will keep it up for a while, then maybe give the car to my girlfriend so it can take a break from the hard stuff.

I recently went to Saunders Gorge a second time, this time with a welded diff. Broke a strut top but it is fixed now.

Anyone been to any of the yards lately? Looks like there are 2 2nd gen wagons at Londsdale, but I don't want to have to go all that way to find they don't have front struts, as I am after a pair.

Looks like he would have been alright if he didn't get on the brakes while in the turn. The back end would have stepped out a bit but that's easily fixed.

Auto-Force driveshafts are OEM spec and probably the best option. You can get them from Sprint auto parts. Don't bother with Protex or anything else with a tripod joint. And personally I have found rebuilds to be the worst (started clicking after a few months and the boot wasn't even torn), but expe...

JP147 Sorry, I know I am going off my own topic here but is the sunshade a wire mesh or a solid type. I am looking at the following but I am struggling with the price. It isn't a necessity just a want unless I can justify its existence by being useful. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271640224224?_trksi...
