Randomly found my car on the net

Down towards the bottom, subaru wagon. I think it was probably from a few years ago. I definitely didn't take those pics.

Try winding out the mixture screw an extra 1/4 or 1/2 turn (dont worry about it being a little bit rougher at idle, its just temporary) and go for a drive. If it stops it from stumbling off idle then your accelerator pump needs to give more juice. From memory, weber carb's have pump jets which you c...

Im getting my vortex checked/gassed today, company in Bibra lake. They quoted me $150 for a system pressure test and regas, and if there is a problem and I dont want them to fix it, it will cost me $55 for the check if anyone around the area is thinking about getting it done. Wrxpc, your fastest and...

There is no magic solution. If you want more power track down a mpfi ea82. If you want modern car power, put an ej in it.

Mine has chain links welded onto the sides. Welded on properly and you wont have a problem.

If you want Jules your welcome to bring it around some time and we can have a look at all your signals with my scope, make sure they look happy. If its flooded, spraying more fuel down its gob aint gonna help. Try cranking at WOT, if the ecu is smart enough it will realize your trying to clear a flo...

It could just be the fender SB. I would do as Jonno mentioned and measure some points across the car.

Bit of a face lift on the old wagon, repainted the grill, the black painted sections on the headlight shrouds and cleaned up the "chrome" bits. Shame the bumper still looks shitty and the roo bar......well, it does a top job at holding my antenna! https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/646x482q90/r/633/B...

According to the FSM, 75-85degC, however, also in the FSM, thermostat starts to open at 88degC, fully open at 100degC. Thermo switch on at 95degC, off at 91degC. Thats all with Genuine sensors and thermo. I assume the EB put a new thermostat in there for you Tweety? My opinion would be that those te...

Just a side note that I thought was interesting. Running injection on mine now and the peak VE figure I reach is 61% at 2300rpm. So the ea81 is actually breathing in just over a litre of air ;). I will have to double check my Req fuel but its pretty close. Are you going to have it dyno tuned Tweety?...

If you scratched the neg terminal of the coil on a GND and got no spark, then the coil is fried, regardless of what resistance you measure. Like I said, you need to measure its inductance. One thing that bugs me, few days ago when the fuse blew, did you have the brown wire connected to the coil when...

Also, ohms isn't the best reading to take, you really want to measure its inductance.

Yeah it seemed unlikely that both your ignition modules were cactus.

I expect a full report tomorrow :P.

Both the spare and the current one in the car? Surely one module is ok. Stupid question, did you replace the blown fuse? When I get home tonight I will have a mess around with mine, see if there is any way of testing the module with a dmm.

Forgot to mention, if you pull the distributor all the way out, it will still need to be grounded. A jumper leed does the trick.

That is correct Tweety. When you touch the positive terminal it will light up the lamp, but if you touch the negative terminal with your lamp, which is Low impedance unlike a multimeter, you are false triggering your coil. No doubt the fuse is blowing because of excessive dwell time. Electronic igni...

I dont think a bad fuel pump would cause the sluggish cranking ;).
