Try this: you have that SLA battery, use it to power the meter,
GREEN and WHITE as you say. Then do a voltage measurement using RED and BLACK. Let us know how it reads then8)

the meter needs to be powered by an independent ground source.

Cooler air, means more dense air, more oxygen hence improved combustion and more power. I recall removing mine on the L, and not being the worse without it. Has me now thinking, there is no preheater on the EJ engine ?

How did you go wiring the CDI into I'm assuming an early RX Turbos ignition system ? Would it have been an MSD 6A or 6AL etc ?
