I would check your fuel filter/lines and your throttle sensor.

I had a similar problem not long back and turned out most of my problems were caused by a blockage in the fuel filter....$8 later and I was back in business

Good luck with the sale mate, wish I was in tassie, could use a donor L in good nick like that.

Do you know what brand of springs they are and who supplied them as I have been looking for a decent set of lowered springs for a while but am struggling to source them out.

Yep, phizinza has done it so many times I am pretty sure he said he can do a complete EA82 engine swap in just over an hour.

As far as I know the heads can be removed without pulling the engine.

But lots say pulling the engine makes it a lot easier

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. Ended up running new speaker wire as it was still running the original wiring which was pretty terrible. Also used some new screws in my MDF speaker mounts which toned down some of the rattling. Seems the windows being pillarless are a little rattly but not m...

Poor sound quality *HELP*

Hi All. Bit dissapointed. Just installed a new sound system in the L Series with Dynamat in the doors. Installed: 1x Pioneer USB Head Unit (Can't remember the model but it was a pretty powerful one) 2x Sony Xplod 260W 6" Speakers 1x Kit of Dynamat on both the driver and passenger doors. I am in the same boat as you, but with engine mounts.

Mine are cactus (rubber has all split and separated).

Makes the engine knock and thump when turning corners quickly/accelerating quickly.

Hopefully when I get the time over the next few weeks I will replace them

I'm not going to have the Outback ready by then so I won't be heading there to have a go. If someone else organises some people who are going I'll maybe come along for a watch and some lunch. I'm still interested in just having some lunch somewhere with a small bunch of subie drivers. Only had 4 pe...

Where to apply engine cleaner on EA82

Hi All. I am servicing the L tomorrow and am going to flush some Upper engine cleaner through it. I have heard that on EFI engines it should be sprayed into the vacuum lines and on a carbed engine it should go directly down the barrel of the carb? Is this true? Mine is a Carbed EA82 so I would like ...

Thanks. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. New development. Its still runs perfectly through the city but whenever I put my foot flat to the floor on a high speed road it starts missing and then just looses all its power. Any ideas? I am thinking of replacing the plugs and leads, could it be those? (t...
