99 GT Forester peeling paint and noisey engine
I was having a look at a GT Forester 230 000km to buy today but the clear coat on the bonnet, roof and tailgate has blistered in large areas and lifted off, does anyone know would this be an expensive repair at a panel shop? The engine also sounded a bit noisey I mean it's louder than my other Subar...

Coolant leaking near sump?
I just replace a small leaking hose connecting onto the thermostat and I have now noticed another leak. But this one looks like it's coming out from where the sump bolts onto the engine. One drip every 15 seconds $20 worth of coolant just dripping away:mad: I'll attach a pic Any ideas where this lea...

Why would they use LSD oil?
I was looking through the service records of the 2.0l auto forester I just bought and it says they have used LSD oil, but I didn't think this car had and LSD diff. Any one know why they might have used this? Does it matter?

I've been looking at a 99 Forester to buy with 130k any idea when the timing belt has to be changed at? I've read 105 000km in aus but 100000 miles in USA
