Mine is the same. When I got it only the RH indicators would blink, mechanic said he had to play around with the contacts in the ignition barrel to get it to work. Now it takes a few blinks of the right indicators for the left ones to come on, but as it's ultimately working I haven't touched it furt...

Also recommend Boxer Service highly, they also did a careful job overhauling a well used MY power assisted steering steering rack and pump for me ages ago and it hasn't skipped a beat.

It's happened again pretty quickly to the Brumby's co-driver, so she is off the road until I can get back from elsewhere to look further into the problem. I will keep you all updated.

4sp DR stuck in R and locked wheels

Had something happen to me yesterday in the Brumby that I've never heard of before, 4sp DR trans. I'd just started the car and selected reverse with the steering turned close to lock (as I'd been parked in from both ends and I'd not had enough room to get out onto the road on first attempt) and the ...

EA81 twin port Y pipe

Hi all, Firstly apologies for being absent on here for quite a while. I've just relocated state, changed job and 100 other things which are only just beginning to settle down. I have an EA81 twin port engine in the final stages of rebuild, and my attention is now turned towards the fact that I have ...

Put a new battery in the Brumby...and this seems to have fixed the stalling problem I was having after first cold start.

Also fixed the problem of the battery running out of charge after cranking over about 5 times...

No way that resistor should be getting that hot. The resistor getting that hot would not normally be an indication of failure of the resistor but of an overly large amount of amperage (never mind voltage) going through it. It's like you have some sort of short happening on the other side of the resi...

My Brumby is always accurate and always has been - low kms though on mine. I believe my situation is an unusual one though...verified by my mechanic asking me "does your fuel gauge work??" Edit I will add that they are susceptible (I believe) to problems with voltage and that I had to replace the st...

Yes they really do, especially with low kms like I'm lucky to have. Mine's also just had the ignition system overhauled with new leads, cap and coil (was badly corroded) and boy did that make a difference!
