That description of the strut top blocks you've given sounds wrong, I can't tell from your picture. The blocks should locate the strut top in towards the motor (giving it negative camber) and rearwards.

You also need to get a wheel alignment because the toe setting is probably cactus.

Finally received my timing chain cover bolts. Anodised aluminium so hopefully the don't corrode like the old ones did.

I'd definitely be going 4.44. It'll compensate, probably more than, the slightly longer ratios of the SG box. Certainly need to be cruising in the powerband at 100 so its not bogging down at all.

It will only be equal to or a little more than the heaviest stock flywheel. There's no way it could be worse than an auto. Doubt its going to matter all that much to the H6.
