Are you trying to replace your 32mm radiator ports with 38mm EJ ones? You can just get flexible hoses with different sized ends, or cut the end off an old 32mm hose and use that as a sleeve inside the 38mm hose. But if you're keen, do as Toonga says. Start by looking at MYs. Any rad shop worth its s...

EJ FTW. Is that engine from a wrecker? Keep an eye out for one being sold privately for half that. Swapping the gearbox is not necessary and it means more work. All engines are simple. They all need fuel, air and spark and run in a suck-push-bang-blow cycle. They all need to be fed oil, coolant and ...

Anyone know how reliable a standard EJ22 alternator will be with a dual battery set-up running a Engel? Wagonman Running an Engel has nothing to do with alternators and battery setups. A fridge compressor draws <10A, i.e. bugger all. I've charged dual and even triple batteries with standard EJ alte...

1) That set should serve you well. Buy extensions and flex joints separately when you need them. 2) IMO those splined sockets should only be used as a last resort if you've got a buggered or odd-sized fastener and the correct conventional socket won't go on. 12 month warranty suggests they aren't ve...

They make 185/ 80R -14's? Dunno if they're 80. They're just labelled 185R14, and I have heard that implies an 80% sidewall height. Measured mine at 640mm outside diameter. How much heavier are LT tyres in compared to a highway tyre in that size? Probably a bit. Never really looked into it. Wait GOD...

I vote 185R14LT because: 185 = easy on wheel bearings and steering, lower rolling resistance than wider tyres. 80% profile= good height for offroading, without being too tall to drive with an EA (I've tried) 14 = 14s are the shiz on an L Series LT = tough. Also, they fit, they're cheap and there's a...

Hey mate, do you think this would be an easy swap into a 2001 EJ20SOHC forester, providing I swap over the intake manifolds to keep the MAP sensor? Do you know if the other sensors are different between the 1997 EJ20 and the type I'd have in my car? Pretty sure you'll find your manifold won't bolt ...

where is that located? In a cardboard box under the bench in my shed:p. Sorry, I didn't pull the car apart, so can't tell you much. It's within about a foot of the test mode connectors (green pair and black pair), which is in the vicinity of the ignition barrel. Numbers on it are: SM 31711 AE250 A6...

If you can fit it into a Perth trip, try Custom Aluminium in Osborne Park. I haven't used them for welding, only bought materials there, but their service and prices have been pretty good . I wouldn't bother getting those welds on the bullbar patched up. Remember it's only aluminium, so you can have...

Are they (fans) connected in series or parallel? As Guy currently describes it, the fans are physically mounted in series, i.e. air flows through the front fan then the back fan (give or take some leakage to account for the difference in flow rates). They should be wired in parallel. As a rule, don...

ah yes in this case i would believe the 3rd fan would help because even if the flow rates are different the radiators would stop the majority of the air and the 3rd fan would have enough grunt to atleast keep the air flowing... keep it... cheers No. The air thrown into the radiators by the front fa...

I have these in my Foz, Phillips Xtreme +100 H4 globes. They are pretty darn good for halogen headlights  They do look slightly white but nothing compared to HIDs. What's Lok-On? I've used mine for doing and undoing all manner of bolts. The Kincrome sockets I just eyeballed are the same shape as my Repco and Koken ones. EDIT: Ok, done a bit more research. Lok-on seems to be Kincrome's name for a six-sided socket designed to drive the faces rather than corners ...

Went out and bought a new sidechrome socket came home and managed to undo 2 out of the 16 bolts(2 cars=8 struts) both were the top bolts (and they were just normal not oval) So the bottom nuts that are hard to get at must have the oval bolt. Bent the socket arm on the next bolt, had a day off work ...
