not really..it should just spin round till it splines and slides on.........there are different convertors....you mite have the wrong one for the box if it just wont go on no matter what you do???try turning it as you put it on the shaft..it has a certan way to go on and you,ll findd it by pushing a...

yep...put the convertor onto the box then fit it to the motor and then bolt it to the engine...once bolted up go thru the started whole and do up the convertor bolts...this is how i do it and it works every time
