Would you still have anything resembling a 'crawl' gear with tyres that large ? Not much point if you don't imho. I couldn't agree more. Look at other fourbies running this size of tyre then look at their reduction gears... you'll be tall - geared to buggery Alex. Sounds funny coming from a guy who...

Sorry I should get around to putting up a Member's Rides post. Yes I sold the BA about two months ago, bought an RX for $2500 fitted with an EJ20G and 5spd AWD. Had to do a lot of work to un-dodgy the conversion, still a fair bit of wiring and some minor mechanical stuff to do but its looking pretty...

The obvious choice is an EJ turbo motor. You'll make more HP stock than a heavily worked EA82T, you'll still have your turbo "individuality" and the reliability is certainly there too. You should be able to stick with the EA gearbox if thats what you want to do... just don't launch it hard on boost ...

I've got the regular N95... not the 8gb. I am having issues with the GPS taking forever to find the satellites. Nokia reckon its a common fault too... as soon as I get time I will be sending it to them for service. The supplied Nokia software does not include voice navigation. You have to pay a fair...

BSPT is tapered too.

BSP isn't.

My understanding was that below 1/2" NPT and BSP are the same thread (ie they have the same thread count).

I could be wrong on that though.

yeah MGR-504 HQ-WB Holden rear air shocks almost bolt straight in... just need to use an adaptor to mount the top pin to the two bolt holes on the body.

Can post a shockie mount picture if need be.

Thanks for the cruise guys I enjoyed myself and so did Tam. Sorry for bailing early but we had to go. Sorry to ITGRIPS and Matatak for leading you down the wrong Welshpool Road (not sure if anyone else followed me). Glad I didn't see the donut incident or there would have been trouble ;). Condolence...

She came past me going up the hill, don't think she was exceeding the posted limit (60 kmh i think) but I do think she was going far too fast for the conditions, there were quite clearly cars everywhere and a blind corner, I know I would have slowed down for that.

R160 VLSD... for ease of fitment try and find one with male output stubs (some early Libertys had 4.11 VLSD's with male output stubs)

Looks more like 1/8th mile to me...

Still stupidly quick on sand up a hill though. I'd love to see what it would do on a real prepped tarmac strip...

Only reason I did it is because the EJ20 turbo goes nowhere near fitting without the scallop.

Interesting info for EA82T converts though.

I used to do a half / half with an EJ cup and a 2WD MY inner joint until I realised that this is exactly the same as the MPFI / Turbo L inner joint.

Don't sweat it about having to go RWD this weekend. I'll pack a spare pair of MY rear shafts that will become available should you need them... (EJ22 + rear locker = bang).

Nope, I'm an MY guy through and through.

Just cos I picked up a cheap R31 Pintara fitted with an SR20DET and AWD doesn't make me an L series guy.

I also own a fridge that has an uncanny resemblance to an L series....

Nope, I'm at Don Kyatt Spare Parts in Kewdale. I ended up using Andrew's driveshaft and am going to have the spare L one in my garage shortened. I was reluctant to change the yokes for several reasons, one I don't have a decent air supply for air tools and two a new crush sleeve for an R160 is ex Ja...

Cheers guys, you've shed a lot of light on the issue.

I will give you a call about that tailshaft today Andrew. Thanks.
