Not sure how watertight my job was. I hosed bird shit off car. Later noticed one drop of water on dash. I coulda flicked it there. No matter. During the week, left car out, parked on a slope, come out after piss down rain and find water all over console and lhs seat thinking I'd done a godawful wind...

...and moving right along I do not have the rear step so the rectangular plates screwed in next to number plate make way for a SUPER CRAP $20 pair of lights that just sit in nice. Actually only one on right side . 55W and wired straight in to circuit, BIG BUT, have always intended to just hook up a ...

The new car ?? What about Smoovs epiliptic trigger of an avatar ?? Bloody hell !! Is it a budgie or a doodle ? 600km for 40 litres is good wots that cost $48 - 50 ? I'm still grumbling that it costs me $35 to do that on gas - it was only $25 until recently. I should be happy - I have the power, look...

JESUS ! I hope towing 750 kilos is a lot safer and easier on the ute than 750kg in the tray. I've done it a coupla times for short distances but highway driving, no f way !! The steering gets real light and there is a bit of weight to stop quick. Go ahead with the conversion but bloody hell an old d...

I always thought that a balancer would not work on this set up due to them being connected (therefore 'balanced' ) inside the manifold. Proved wrong OR each to their own Sound bite ? Of twin Hitachis on a Subaru NO , NO , Don't do it without the air cleaner or everyone will reminisce of the days whe...

you could always build a remote style box like I run on my twins made of 100 x 50 RHS, holed and boxed up to sit on the carbies, fed by exhaust pipe and a steering rack boot for the flex to the VL commodore air filter box sitting where jack and cannister was. Gives great filter capacity, modern flat...

windscreen is in !!

Big thanks to Suba (Mike) for his help and advice in replacing my Brumby windscreen. The old one came out no troubles, just gentle push from feet inside. Replacement was in in 25 minutes, single handed, no friends to help, just me five or six metres of venetian blind cord wrapped just like Mike said...

saw a guy the other day in an Aussie flag blue Brumby UTE89B tear arseing around, sounded good, went well. I suspected a nice mod providing his motorvation. Nuh, stock EA81 with head work and exhaust mods. I was impressed. There you go, find a set of heads, get em opened up a bit and serviced and se...

Happy to report the old screen came out no hassles. I popped the top first then the sides then found it easy to lift the glass upwards off the pinch weld. Seal was dry install before, the only sticky goo was where I stuck it to fix water leak between glass and rubber, so not bad at all. My rust repa...

tranny fluid eh ? I'd try it tonight but don't have any - no need until now used oil might attract the other bugs as a reflection of light found mortein traps to be good in the past, RAID brand to be useless cause the opening is too small for the black cockies to get their shoulders through tranny f...

While on the topic, and EA82 Y pipe used on EA81 as a performance mod, does the EA82 Y pipe actually bolt up to EA81 exhaust system as a direct replacement or does it require fabrication to fit and work ?

You are not alone in this sort of deed being done by this sort of person with a truck and a crane, better known as shit4brains or dumbasdogshit. Birdy, just think of the carby as a house with bits n pieces inside. Take photos of before and during dismantle, take note of the jets sizes numbers and where they came from and where they go back You can use (your own) chisel to scrape off old gaskets, prepsol or thinners like in laminex work is go...
