When I bought my 91Brumby I went to Mildura to look at 2. The one I didn't buy just had the Subaru badge on the back. It was a 90 model with single headlight front & no options. Couldn't get a new one anywhere, so I've got a 2nd hand one coming from Subabits. At least I'll have that & a spare in the blue parts car if I need it.
Now just to get the broken one out, gotta forget about it till next weekend cos I'm away in the truck till then.

So far not having any luck chasing a new oil pump. Anyone know if you can still get an aftermarket one. I have one in my parts car, but who knows if it will come off in one piece. That car is ten years older than the Brumby & looks as though it has never been pulled off either.

G'day guys Well I tried to do this on the weekend with disastrous results. Could not get the pump to move in the block at all. After trying for a long time to get it to spin I let frustration get the better of me & pried at it with a bar & crack. Now it is basically at the same point as Revmax above...

There's a place in Melbourne called Flexdrive industries. Years ago a put a Supra gearbox in a Holden ute & they made me a little gearbox. It screwed in between the speedo cable & gearbox. Check gumtree mate, there was one for $300 in Kilmore last week.

The idea of any wheel with the correct offset would interest me. I would like to be running 15 inch wheels with a 205 50 15 tyre. If I could have whatever I wanted.

G'day guys, Realised I never shard the story of my 81 Leone that I got way back at the start of August. Often when I see things on eBay at a cheap starting price I'll chuck a bid on. Well that's what happened here, & what do ya know, nobody else bid. So off to Tallarook I went with a Vicroads permit...

I'm anxiously waiting to hear news of how the auction went. Hope you manage to get it Jay.

It's definitely worth a bit more than ya usual L series. Hang in there for the right buyer.

What would that be, a 6 inch lift or something? You'd think there'll be no one bidding on that at Pickles.

I've seen a lot of parts on Gumtree over there, often I witch Bass Strait wasn't so wide.

I gave the Brumby a much needed bath & put the 14" rims back on.



It does look pretty good with those rims on it I reckon.

The worst thing about it for me, is the fact that it looks like the bodywork is immaculate, apart from the pipes cut into the quaters. What a terrible waste. As someone who had a B&S ute in the true sense many years ago. Let me tell you this is not a B&S ute, things like ute musters & ute shows star...
